DESCRIPTION

The Humantay Lagoon takes its name from the nearby snow-capped mountain (Humantay, 5,473 m.a.s.l.) and is considered one of the most beautiful and sacred lagoons in Cusco. Its turquoise waters adorned with snow-capped Salkantay (6,270 m) whisper to you, this circuit is aimed at all those lovers of tracking is intermediate level.

Itinerary

This adventure begins very early in the morning 04:20 am to 4:30 am to make the respective collection of the hotel and then enrumbarnos on a journey of 2 and a half hours in our transport to the district of MOLLEPATA, where we can have breakfast and use the services, do some shopping for the hike. After breakfast we will continue our journey for 01 hour in our transport, the road we will take is dirt (trail) to reach SORAYPAMPA which is located at an altitude of 3900 meters above sea level. During the course of the trip we will pass through beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped mountain "SALKANTAY". 
Arriving at ZORAYPAMPA we will start a 2 km walk. An ascending trail which will take us about 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach the HUMANTAY lagoon, while we hike we will see a panorama of snow-capped mountains, unique natural landscapes and a great diversity of flora and fauna until we reach the "Humantay Lagoon" which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level.

The "HUMANTAY LAGOON" is turquoise due to the mineral that is in the bottom and the clearest color can be seen when the day is sunny, the lagoon is fed by glaciers of the mountain and snowy of the same name, is considered a jewel of nature, besides enjoying the Humantay lagoon we can appreciate the breathtaking views of the mountains that surround it. 
Finally, after having appreciated this natural beauty and having obtained the best shots captured in photos we will descend walking until we reach Soraypampa where our transport will be waiting for us to bring us back to the district of Mollepata, where we can enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch we will start our return trip to Cusco. Our tour ends at 17:30 to 18:30 pm in the main square or agreed point.
